The star of the show will be the Rogaine game, with a first prize worth at least $250! There are games for everyone, including some bonus fun to be had while visiting the NZ GPS Maze and the Gadget Adventure, and a special game that's just for the kids! What's a Lackey? 11 Mar 2025  If you were not aware, a Lackey is someone who works at Geocaching HQ, and helps to run the game and the website at the core of geocaching. And we are lucky enough to have a special guest at our Block Party - SuperSaiyanWil aka Wilson, a member of the Quality Assurance team at HQ. This will be Wilson's first trip outside of the US, and he is super keen to attend the Block Party and meet all of you mad keen cachers! He is also a big fan of Lord of the Rings so he will be travelling around the country checking out all his favourite scenes from the movies. I know we will all make him feel super welcome, so come along and meet him at the party! CITO! 04 Mar 2025  A very special CITO event set up for Block Party weekend just went live. You are all invited to attend a planting event where as a group we will plant 600 native plants to restore a riparian margin of the Puarenga Stream about 1.5km from the Block Party venue. The planting will be on Sunday 4th May from 8:30am through until midday, so make sure you have got it marked in your calendar to get along and plant a couple of plants to earn your smiley and the 2025 CITO Season 1 souvenir! Amazing News! 05 Feb 2025  It has been a while coming, because a lot, and I mean a lot, of work has gone into the preparation for this, but the first NZ GPS Adventures Maze Exhibit geocache was published today. Taking place alongside the Block Party, this is sure to make for a really amazing and fun addition to the 25 years of geocaching celebrations. The Maze covers a whole load of geocaching, technology and GPS topics, and has been designed to provide a really interesting and engaging experience. We are sure you're going to enjoy it!
